Bio

Professor McDonough joined the college as full-time faculty in 2002. She has worked as a staff nurse in pediatrics, labor and delivery. She has worked per diem at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Women and Children’s Department since 1996.  Professor McDonough holds certifications as a Maternal Newborn Nurse and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. She is a member of AWHONN and Sigma Theta Tau and is the faculty advisor for Great Bay’s chapter of the PTK Honor Society. She has been awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence. Her favorite thing about working at Great Bay is the faculty team, eager students, and the ability to participate in adding more nurses to her profession. Her other interests include spending time with family, reading at the beach, hiking, and downhill skiing.
